OLD NEWS

November 3, 2009

Hey guys,

It's been a while since I posted, but wanted to give you a few updates.

I want to thank everyone for the great turnout at Recoup Lounge last week. I know that it was hot inside, and of course apologize for the tardiness, but it turned out to be a great gig. It's an honor to have Marc Shulman as part of the band and always exciting to have Tamar on stage as well.

I was featured in chicktellectual.com before that gig.
Check out the interview here.

Also, I have tapped a creative vein that appears to be rich and deep! I am writing lots of new and exciting songs and hope to share them with you soon, either at a show, or dare I say a record!!! Keep your fingers crossed on that one.

Finally, I set up a Fan page on Facebook. Please become a fan and spread the word so that we can be in touch more easily and more regularly.

Exciting News! Next week, I will be playing 3 nights as part of Ergo Entertainment's first annual New York Winter Theater and Arts Festival !!! This year’s theme is “Celebrating Women” & will feature diverse independent performances from up & coming actors, musicians & comics, including the New York debut of Courtney Fine’s one-woman show, Me2.

I will be playing a special unplugged set at:

Producers Club Two
Tuesday, Wednesday & Saturday
January 11th,12th & 15th
9:00 PM

The $20 cover is a bit more than the usual cost, but for $40 you (or other bourgeoisie theater lovers you may know) can buy a pass to the whole festival and come back for the other comedy and dramatic events throughout the week.

A portion of the festival proceeds will go to:
ArtWorks, The Naomi Cohain Foundation, dedicated to the establishment & support of creative & performing art exhibitions featuring the works of children & young adults suffering from life-threatening & chronic illnesses.

This is an exciting event to be a part of. Please spread the word to anyone and everyone.

ALSO!
Come celebrate the love and marriage of our close friends Rachel & Ray with a night of music thrown by the bride and groom! The evening will include performances by: Arielle, Tamar Prager, Alan Chaput, Jason Yudoff and the New Hotness, in addition to performances by the bride and groom themselves!!! Hello there. It's been way too long since I've posted something in this news section. So here it goes. Tuesday's show at Kenny's was loads of fun. Thank you for coming out. A couple of exciting things going on...

The first is that I have been gradually working on a more polished recording of some of my tunes. I am hoping that by summer's end I will have about five songs down to get out there to y'all. It's been a very exciting process, and I've been learning a lot.

Also, May 19th I will be featured on IME Production's new internet radio show INDIE MUSIC EXPLOSION INTERNET RADIO. I'll be briefly interviewed and asked to play a couple of tunes live. They will also play one of my tunes as part of their regular play list. Very exciting! Stay tuned for details!

I am very honored to be playing as part of a benefit show for Musician's On Call on June 14th @ The Lemon. This organization brings music to those who are in need of healing. Admission is a suggested $10 donation to the charity. It's really a wonderful cause and I sincerely hope you can make it. Check the calendar for details.

Until next time...

Hi everyone- It's been a pretty exciting couple of weeks for me. I took a very last minute trip to LA because I got the opportunity to open up for the band Evan and Jaron at a joint called Molly Malone's. Evan and Jaron are those identical twins that had the hit song Crazy for this Girl. It was a wonderful show. I was accompanied by Tamar on her drums and my brother who lives out in LA made a special appearance on keys. Thanks to everyone who came to support us away from home, and Thanks to Evan and Jaron for having us! You'll also be happy to know that my MP3s are up on the music section of the website, so feel free to check those out.
This thursday evening I have a gig at:

Finally Fred's
August 21st, 9:00PM
765 Washington Street (12th Street)

It would be great to see you there!! I am currently lining up some other shows for the fall. I'll keep you posted. Stay cool.
